FR Americas Championship celebrates FIA Volunteers & Officials

This weekend, November 20-21, marks the annual celebration of volunteer marshals and officials who dedicate their time to make motorsports possible around the world. The FIA Volunteers Weekend presents an opportunity to raise awareness and give thanks to the volunteers who carry out the wide variety of essential roles without which motorsports would simply not happen.

Although the F4 U.S. Championship Powered by Honda concluded their season already, we are flashing back to the 2021 ARAMCO Formula 1® United States Grand Prix weekend where Jensen Global Advisors Team Principal Eric Jensen and second-year driver Jake Bonilla assisted with the Intervention Marshal training, pictured above.

At all F4 U.S. and FR Americas events, the Championships utilize a mix of volunteers and officials to execute our events. The best seat in motorsports is trackside, and nothing will get you closer than an intervention, flag, or pit lane marshal.

Those interested in getting involved, can find out more information on specialties utilized by the SCCA here. After getting some grassroots events on your resume with your local region (locate yours here), marshals can step up to professional events, including the Formula 1 United States Grand Prix.

We hope to see some of you at our F4 U.S. or FR Americas Championship events in 2022!
