SEBRING 2021 MAGAZINE NOW AVAILABLE FOR DOWNLOAD

Our magazine for the 2021 Hankook 24H SEBRING is now available for digital download. This month, we take a look at the illustrious, seven-decade history of the Sebring International Raceway, explore how some of the 24H SERIES’ North American regulars feel competing at Sebring, and take an in-depth look at the ‘future of BMW M motorsport’, the brand-new M4 GT3. All that and more in this month’s magazine.

This weekend, the 24H SERIES powered by Hankook signs off 2021 with the Hankook 24H SEBRING, CREVENTIC’s first-ever event at the famed Sebring International Raceway and, incredibly, the famed Floridian circuit’s first 24-hour international motor race. That’s quite amazing, especially when you considerthe heritage of the former Hendricks Fieldthat already includes 69 editions (so far) of the legendary Sebring 12 Hours, two inaugural FIA sports car races in 1953 and 2012, and one official Formula 1 Grand Prix.

It’s an event so momentous for CREVENTIC that the Birthplace of American Endurance Racing has already been confirmedon the 2022 calendar, alongside series staples like the Dubai Autodrome, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello. Moreover, the returning Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a popular venue for CREVENTIC’s competitors, is also back on the calendar for its fourth 24H SERIES event in 2022, and its first since 2019.

Before that though, we have the ‘little’ matter of crowning new Overall Teams and Drivers’ champions in the GT and TCE divisions. A remarkable maiden season for Canada’s ST Racing already includes three class wins and three additional podium finishes, consistency that puts the BMW M4 GT4 at the top of the GT standings over nearest rival Vortex V8. A fourth win of the year this weekend on North American home turf is all that’s needed to secure the newly-crowned GT4 champions the Overall GT Teams’ title as well. Across in TCE, Autorama Motorsport by Wolf-Power Racing has been on an equally impressive roll with four class wins, mirroring its achievements in 2019 and 2020 en-route to both Overall TCE Teams’ crowns. Then again, nearest rival AC Motorsport will be hoping to derail the Swiss-German team’s charge with, potentially, their first win of 2021.

Alongside the championship fight, this weekend also features the series debut of the brand-new BMW M4 GT3. In development since 2019, as the head of BMW M Motorsport informs us, the German brand’s new flagship racer is expected to be among Sebring’s crowd favourites, alongside American entries Team ACP, Heart of Racing, NOLASPORT, RENNtech Motorsports, and former series champions, CP Racing.

Off-track, the Hankook 24H SEBRING also proudly hosts a paddock stand for event partner, Toys for Tots, the charitable organization that’s distributed Christmas toys to children since 1947. Check out how you too can get involved with this worthy cause.

Before the green flag flies for the final time in 2021, we at CREVENTIC would like to thank all of our competitors and supporters, plus our myriad fans around the world, for another stirring season of 24H SERIES competition. We’d also like to thank management and staff at the Sebring International Raceway for their help making this race a reality.  A race more than seven decades in the making.

Stay safe, race safe, and we’ll see you all again in 2022!
