January 20, 2022 – Set to make their season debut in the FR Americas Championship Powered by Honda, Doran-Kroll Competition is pleased to announce the signing of Canadian Marco Kacic. A veteran with the West Coast program, Kacic will compete on the national stage in 2022 with backing from Lordco Auto Parts.

 “We are ecstatic to have Marco as part of the Doran-Kroll program and look forward to the first event in April,” explained Competition Director Dominic Dobson. “Marco has winning experience in the regional program here in California, but also some national experience from a couple events back in 2020. Traveling east and competing against teams that are familiar with the venues that way will be tough, but we are up for the challenge.”

Beginning his career at the age of seven, Kacic won several high-profile karting events and championships in the USA and Canada throughout the years. When he was fifteen, he was fortunate enough to find a partner in his race program who saw what he was able to do in karting competition and helped Marco with the necessary funding to make the move to open-wheel racing. Competing in formula cars, Marco raced in the 2018 Canadian Formula 1600 Championship before moving to the Formula Pro USA F4 program in 2019. Winning in his series debut, Marco went on to win on six more occasions en route to the series title. Through 2020 and 2021 as Covid hit the entire world, Kacic found money hard to come by as he dabbled in select FR and GT4 cars when time and funding allowed.

Fast forward to today, Doran-Kroll Competition and the Kacic team have been working together to put together a program for 2022. With the details finally complete and contracts in place, Kacic is officially set to contend in the FR Americas Championship Powered by Honda under the Doran-Kroll Competition banner.
