June 12, 2024 – FR Americas travels to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway this weekend for the third event weekend of the season. Coming into the event, Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport driver Ryan Shehan is tied for the drivers' championship point lead, and he hopes to officially claim the outright lead this weekend in the Indy SpeedTour. 

Last time out at Road America, Shehan battled through mechanical issues in qualifying and race one to come away from the weekend with two podiums and an additional top-five finish.

“We had a tough start to the Road America weekend, but we came away with some really good results,” Shehan said. “I’m super proud of the work we put in that weekend, and I’m ready to put in the work again this weekend.”

Shehan is currently tied with his Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport teammate for the driver championship lead and looks to make this weekend the event that puts him at the top. Heading into three rounds on the 2.592-mile, 15-turn road course, Shehan is confident he can fight at the front in all weekend races.  

“We’ve been strong so far this season, scoring three podiums – one of them a win – in six races,” Shehan added. “I’m confident we can continue our strong form this weekend, fight for more podiums and wins, and hopefully claim the championship lead.” 

The FR Americas weekend starts with practice Friday morning, followed by qualifying Friday afternoon. Race one will occur Saturday, with races two and three scheduled for Sunday.
