Ryan Shehan Does the Double at Mid-Ohio
June 27, 2024 – The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course hosted the fourth event weekend of the FR Americas 2024 season this past weekend. Ryan Shehan pushed his #66 entry, sponsored by the Harrison Noel Team, to a pair of wins and climbed to the top of the championship point standings at the midpoint of the season.
Starting race one from the front row after a second-place qualifying result, Shehan took advantage of a rocket start in the #66 car by Ligier Automotive to take the lead by turn one. He then piloted the car to victory lane and the podium's top step. With one of the fastest laps in race one, Shehan lined up second on the grid again and was able to duplicate his start magic, taking home his second win of the weekend and sweeping the competition. Shehan now leads in this year’s championship, 23.5 points ahead of his closest rival.
“What a weekend,” expressed Shehan. “We’ve been working for these results all season, and it feels good to get back-to-back wins. The Crosslink Kiwi Motorsport team gave me a great setup, and I was able to carry that hard work through to the finish. We’ll take this weekend and carry this momentum into New Jersey in a few weeks.”
Shehan and the rest of the FR Americas paddock will take a few weeks off and then return July 25-28 to New Jersey Motorsports Park for the season's fifth event. Stay tuned to Ryan’s social media for more information.
