2020 FR Americas Champion Linus Lundqvist Seals INDYCAR Rookie of the Year Title
CHARLOTTE (September 3, 2024) – Linus Lundqvist has locked in the 2024 INDYCAR Rookie of the Year title. The 2020 Champion in Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Lundqvist graduated to INDY NXT, where he earned the 2022 INDY NXT Championship title as a sophomore driver for HMD Motorsports with Dale Coyne Racing. From there, the Swede joined Meyer Shank Racing as a substitute driver before catching the attention of Chip Ganassi Racing and getting signed to race full time in 2024.
From a third-place finish at Barber Motorsports Park, to the pole position at Road America and his second-career podium at World Wide Technology Raceway, to leading his first laps in INDYCAR competition at The Milwaukee Mile last weekend, Lundqvist has been fast all year.
