Toney Driver Development Confirms FR Americas Program for 2025
Lincoln Day Confirmed as First Driver for TDD
January 14, 2025 – Confirming their IMSA VP SportsCar Challenge program last week, Toney Driver Development (TDD) has put the final touches on a two-car Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) effort. Housed in their Brownsburg, Indiana location, TDD has confirmed Lincoln Day as the first driver for the 2025 FR Americas campaign with a second driver to be announced later this week.
Launching their open wheel program late in 2024 at the Circuit of the Americas during the final round of FR Americas, Brady Golan and Hailie Deegan competed with Golan earning TDD’s first podium result in their short existence. Fast-forward to today, TDD is set for a multi-car effort and is expanding to two series in 2025.
“We have been pushing hard and turning a lot of laps across the country,” explained Nathan Toney. “We are anxious to get started, and welcome Lincoln to the TDD program for 2025.”
“I’ve been wanting to do FR Americas since I started racing,” added Day. “I’ve been working hard both on and off track to get to this point. I’ve done a lot of testing with TDD, and I am very excited to further my career with this team.”
Toney continued, “Lincoln has been a valuable addition to our TDD family, and he has arguably made the most progress of anyone in our driver development efforts to date. After an intense testing program with us, we are incredibly excited and proud to have him join the 2025 FR Americas Championship with us. We really look forward to the future with Lincoln as a part of the overall TDD effort.”
With more testing planned, Day will make his FR Americas debut at NOLA Motorsports Park over the March 27-30 weekend.
