Kiwi Motorsport Sweeps Podiums and Continues Momentum at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course

June 23, 2025 – Kiwi Motorsport delivered a commanding performance at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course this past weekend, collecting wins and podiums across all three competing series: Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas), Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), and Ligier Junior Formula Championship (Ligier JFC). With multiple victories and consistent top finishes, the New Zealand-rooted team continues to lead by example as the season hits its stride.
Formula Regional Americas Championship
Kiwi Motorsport dominated the FR Americas grid with a weekend filled with wins and two full podium sweeps. Race 1 kicked off with a victory from pole-sitter Bruno Ribeiro, followed closely by teammate Nicolas Ambiado in second. Jett Bowling and Nicolas Stati rounded out a strong team result in fourth and fifth respectively.
Race 2 saw the team’s first podium sweep of the weekend as Ambiado took the win ahead of Ribeiro and Bowling, with Stati again finishing a solid fifth. The momentum carried into Race 3, where Ribeiro secured his second win of the weekend. He was joined on the podium by Bowling in second and Ambiado in third. Kevin Janzen also had a breakout performance in Race 3, claiming his best finish of the weekend with a top-ten result and first in the Masters class.
Formula 4 United States Championship
In F4 U.S. action, Cooper Shipman was unstoppable. The young American swept the weekend with pole position and race wins in both rounds. Shipman’s pace and consistency kept him in control throughout both races, tightening his grasp on the championship. Teammate Clemente Huerta also showed significant speed and progress, finishing sixth in Race 1 and improving to a strong fourth in Race 2.
Ligier Junior Formula Championship
Zach Fourie carried Kiwi’s banner in the Ligier JFC category, delivering consistent top-10 results in all three races. Fourie opened the weekend with a sixth-place finish in Race 1, followed by an eighth-place run in Race 2 and a seventh-place result in the final race. His performance added yet another layer of success to an already dominant weekend for the team.
“I’m incredibly proud of the entire Kiwi Motorsport program,” said Team Owner Teena Larsen. “Our drivers across all three series showed professionalism, pace, and consistency. The results speak for themselves, and the team continues to elevate with every event. We’ll carry this momentum into the next round at New Jersey.”
Kiwi Motorsport will return to action July 31st through August 3rd at New Jersey Motorsports Park, where the team will once again compete in all three series: FR Americas, F4 U.S., and Ligier JFC.
