August 3, 2026 — Championship leader Evagoras Papasavvas and Crosslink Motorsports turned a difficult Race 1 into a strong weekend at New Jersey Motorsports Park, rebounding with a podium and a victory across Rounds 12-14 of the 2026 Formula Regional Americas Championship (FR Americas) season. Taking on the 2.25-mile, 12-turn Thunderbolt Course in Millville, New Jersey, this was Papasavvas’ first trip to the facility, and he impressed all with his speed right out of the gate. 

Papasavvas set the tone for the weekend by qualifying on pole position. Race 1 did not go to plan, however, as contact and issues on track left him unable to complete the race, classified 14th after finishing just 12 of the scheduled 18 laps. Despite the result, Papasavvas salvaged the fastest lap of the race, a bright spot in an otherwise difficult outing.

Papasavvas responded immediately in Race 2, to finish second and secure a podium result.

“Race 1 was difficult to swallow, especially entering the weekend as the championship point leader,” explained Papasavvas. “We never gave up and bounced back to stand on the podium in race two and claim some much needed championship points.”

Papasavvas completed the comeback in the third and final race of the weekend, taking the victory and adding to his win total for the 2026 season.

Evagoras continued, “Race 3 on the weekend was exactly what we needed. As a team, we ended the weekend on a high and managed to gain back some of the points we lost in Race 1. With the win, momentum is on my side as we head to the next event, and I intend to use that to my full advantage.”

The result keeps Papasavvas atop the FR Americas standings, though his points lead remains thin with three event weekends and nine races still to run in the 2026 season. Papasavvas and Crosslink Motorsports will look to build on the momentum when the championship heads to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, September 3-6.
