Clemente Huerta Secures First Podium of the 2026 Season in F4 U.S.

SANTIAGO / MILLVILLE / NEW JERSEY / United States / August 1, 2026 – Young driver Clemente Huerta (Kiwi Motorsport) claimed his first podium of the year this Saturday during Race 1 of the fourth round of the Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.), held at the New Jersey Motorsports Park circuit.

The victory went to Uruguayan driver Gastón Irazú, who had also secured pole position. Starting from that prime spot, he crossed the finish line with a time of 30 minutes, 13.892 seconds. He was followed by South African Zach Fourie (0.601 seconds behind) and the Chilean Clemente Huerta (1.015 seconds behind).

"I am very happy with this podium after so much hard work and struggling during the first part of the year without positive results. I just need to fine-tune a few small details, and I’ll be able to finish even higher up," stated Huerta.

Unlike the six podiums achieved in 2025, the 17-year-old driver had been unable to reach the podium in the first three events of the first half of the season. Consequently, he decided to switch teams and return to Kiwi Motorsport—driving the Ligier JS F422—a move that paid off as he secured the coveted spot to lift a trophy. Races 2 and 3 will take place this Sunday at 12:00 and 16:10, respectively, at the same venue, with the grid lineup determined by the best times set during the previous race.
