High School Senior Will Compete in the 5th Round of F4 U.S. Championship in Ontario

SANTIAGO / ONTARIO / CANADA / August 27, 2026 - Young driver Clemente Huerta Raab (Kiwi Motorsport) will have a busy September in North America, where this weekend he will compete in the fifth round of the Formula 4 United States Championship (F4 U.S.) in Ontario, Canada, before concluding the month while celebrate Chile's Independence Day in Virginia during the sixth round of the F4 U.S.

Huerta Raab is already in Canada preparing for his next commitment in the American championship. The action begins this Thursday with three test sessions, followed by a practice session and qualifying on Friday. Races 1 and 2 will be held on Saturday, and the weekend will conclude with Race 3 on Sunday. 

This is Huerta Raab’s second year in the F4 category, and he had a challenging start in the first three rounds of the season due to car problems. From the fourth race onward, he switched teams, achieving two third-place finishes that propelled him to fifth in the standings, just six points behind fourth-place Cole Medeiros. 

“With the pace I’ve built since the last race, I’m arriving in Ontario feeling very confident, as I know the track and its challenges. The double podium finish in New Jersey has boosted my morale even more to keep fighting for the championship,” commented 17-year-old Huerta Raab, a senior in high school.

A year ago, the driver first experienced the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park circuit in Ontario, where he competed in two of the three scheduled races. He finished third in the first race. In the second, he finished eighth after going off track and crashing into the tire barrier two laps from the end. He was not authorized to participate in the third race due to medical precautions.

Regarding his experience in Ontario, Clemente said: “I’ve spent the whole year analyzing my mistakes, and I’m very clear on why what happened happened that time. Now I’m arriving more confident and with more experience, which makes me very calm.”

This weekend’s event will have some weather-related variables. Thursday, the 3rd, practice day, could see rain, as could race 3 on Sunday. However, Friday, the 4th, qualifying day, and Saturday, the 5th, with two races, will have clear skies with temperatures ranging from 16 to 24 degrees Celsius.

So far, the drivers’ standings are led by Uruguayan Gastón Irazú with 198 points, followed by Canadian Caleb Campbell with 161; third is South African Zach Fourie with 147; fourth, Canadian Cole Medeiros with 102; and fifth, Chilean Clemente Huerta with 96. And sixth, Canadian Luca Day with 70.
